NYPD Seeks Two Women in Assault on a 17-Year-Old at a Bronx Subway Station
Police say a 17-year-old girl was assaulted on the mezzanine of the Gun Hill Road station on her way home from school on October 26 — and the NYPD has released surveillance photos of two women it is asking the public to help identify.

The NYPD is asking for the public's help identifying two women wanted in connection with the assault of a 17-year-old girl at a Bronx subway station last week. The attack happened at approximately 3 p.m. on Monday, October 26, at the mezzanine level of the Gun Hill Road subway station, according to police — the hour when the station fills with students heading home from school, as the victim was.
Police describe the two suspects as women with brightly colored hair. The department has released surveillance photos of both women, captured by NYPD cameras at the station, in an effort to identify them. No names have been released for either woman — identifying them is the point of the appeal — and police have not released the victim's name.
The Gun Hill Road station serves the Norwood and Williamsbridge neighborhoods at the northern end of the Bronx, and a 3 p.m. assault on its mezzanine is an attack in one of the most public spaces in a teenager's day: the ride home. Police are asking anyone with information about the October 26 assault to contact the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). Tips can also be submitted online through the NYPD Crime Stoppers website or on X at @NYPDTips.
This desk reports the case as police have stated it: an alleged assault, two unidentified suspects, and an open appeal. Anyone who recognizes the women in the department's released photos is asked to call the hotline rather than approach them.
